Terms of service

Effective October 20, 2026 · Updated for Helpie 1.1

Who provides Helpie

Helpie is operated by Erik Kurjak personally (“I”, “me”, or “the operator”). These terms describe the use of the Helpie website, iPhone app, Mac helper, plugin, and connection service. For questions or help, contact info@helpie.cc.

Please read these terms before using Helpie. If you do not agree, do not start using the service, or stop using it as described below. Nothing on this page removes rights that applicable law gives you.

What Helpie does

Helpie connects your iPhone to your Mac so you can send references and instructions to a selected project and receive results on your phone. Tasks run through the AI provider you select, using your existing account and the tools available in that project.

The current service is a beta. Features and supported integrations may change, and some tasks may fail or need action on your Mac. Your Mac must remain awake, online, and signed in to the selected provider. The iPhone app is installed separately from the plugin.

Free access and other costs

Helpie is currently free to use. There is no Helpie subscription or automatic conversion to a paid plan. If paid features are introduced, their price and conditions will be explained before you choose to purchase them. You will not be charged by Helpie without your agreement.

Your AI provider, internet provider, mobile carrier, or other services you choose may charge you separately. Helpie tasks use your selected AI account and its usage allowance.

Your devices and instructions

Connect only devices, accounts, and projects that you own or are authorized to use. Keep your devices, pairing codes, and account access secure. A paired phone can request work on its connected Mac; share access only with people you authorize.

Give instructions only for work you are authorized to perform. Codex Desktop tasks currently run with full local file access under your Mac account: choosing a project does not restrict access to that folder. Depending on the provider, tools, and permissions, tasks may read or change other files or interact with connected services. Encryption does not limit these permissions. Review important instructions and results, and keep backups of work you need to preserve. Separate approvals required by a provider or connected service still apply.

You must be legally able to agree to these terms, or have any permission from a parent or guardian required by applicable law. You must also meet the age and account requirements of the services you connect.

Your content and permitted use

You keep the rights you have in the content you provide. You give the operator permission to transmit, process, and technically reproduce that content only as needed to provide the features you request, maintain the service, and comply with applicable law. This does not transfer ownership of your content.

Only share or use content when you have the necessary rights or another lawful basis to do so. A publicly accessible post is not automatically licensed for copying or republication. Respect copyright, privacy, and the rules of the source platform.

Do not use Helpie for unlawful activity, infringement, harassment, malware, unauthorized access, or interference with other users or the service. Do not bypass authentication, access restrictions, or reasonable service limits. Report suspected security problems to info@helpie.cc without including private pairing codes or passwords.

AI results and third-party services

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your intended use. Check it before relying on it, publishing it, or using it for an important decision. Helpie does not guarantee that generated content is unique or free of third-party rights.

Connected AI providers, content platforms, and other third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. You remain responsible for complying with those terms. Helpie is independently operated; mentioning a third-party product does not imply its endorsement. Helpie does not grant rights to third-party content or promise that a third-party service will remain available.

Privacy and stored information

The privacy policy explains how Helpie handles information. With Helpie 1.1 on your iPhone and Mac and a new encrypted pairing, task instructions, results, and media are end-to-end encrypted between those devices. Cloudflare relays the encrypted traffic without the device keys needed to read its contents. Connection information, including addresses, identifiers, timing, and approximate transfer sizes, remains visible to the service. Older installations must be updated and paired again to gain this protection.

Your Mac decrypts tasks to carry them out, and your chosen AI provider receives the instructions and reference material needed for its work. Device-to-device encryption does not add encryption to saved task history or media on your devices, protect a compromised device, or guarantee uninterrupted service. The current beta has not undergone an independent security audit. See how Helpie works for the connection and its limits.

Accepting these terms is not consent to unrelated uses of your personal information. Where separate consent is required, it must be obtained separately.

Stopping use and ending access

You can stop using Helpie at any time without a Helpie cancellation fee. To revoke remote access, disconnect the phone from the Mac pairing screen or ask the Helpie plugin to stop remote access. Uninstalling the plugin alone does not stop the separately installed Mac helper. In Helpie 1.1, the Mac’s disconnect and stop controls revoke the device key locally, even if the connection service is unavailable. If you disconnect from your phone while the Mac is unreachable, use the Mac control to confirm remote access has been revoked. Revoking access does not undo tasks already accepted. Stopping remote access preserves local projects and history; remove files from your devices separately if you no longer want them.

Access may be restricted when reasonably necessary to address a security threat, unlawful activity, or a material breach of these terms. Where practical and lawful, the operator will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue. Urgent protective action may be taken immediately.

If the service is discontinued, the operator will give reasonable advance notice where practical and explain any available steps for keeping your results. Contact info@helpie.cc if you need help disconnecting or making a deletion request.

Service quality and your rights

The operator will use reasonable care and skill in providing Helpie. Continuous availability, error-free operation, and a particular task outcome are not guaranteed. Maintenance, network failures, and third-party outages can interrupt the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or takes away mandatory consumer protections, remedies for a faulty service, or data-protection rights. Any responsibility for loss or damage is determined under applicable law.

Changes and questions

These terms may be updated to reflect changes in Helpie, security needs, or legal requirements. Material changes will be explained with reasonable advance notice through the website or service, except when an urgent legal or security change is needed. Changes will not apply retroactively, and any agreement required by law will be requested. You can stop using Helpie if you do not accept a change.

For complaints or questions, email info@helpie.cc. These terms do not require arbitration or restrict your right to contact a regulator, seek an available dispute-resolution process, or bring a claim in a court available to you under applicable law.
